When you were not even one and you sparkled and you gurgled and you rolled and you cried, I thought to myself, “I never want this time to end….”

When you were two and you teetered and you tottered and you splashed and you spluttered in the Pacific Ocean waters on the coastline of Manzanita, I thought to myself, “I never want this time to end….”
When you were five and you explored and you wandered and you climbed and you conquered, I thought to myself, “I never want this time to end….”

When you were six and you adjusted and you settled and you befriended and you encouraged, I thought to myself, “I never want this time to end….”

When you were ten and you dreamed and you acted and you read and you discovered, I thought to myself, “I never want this time to end….”

When you were twelve and you cried and you prayed and you matured and you counted the cost, even then, I thought to myself, “I never want this time to end….”

When you were fourteen, just the day before, and you researched and you reflected and you pondered and you swam over 600 metres, I thought to myself, “I never want this time to end….”
And today? Micah, what do I think to myself about you today on your 15th birthday?
Just like every day of your life, as you bless and as you delight and as you learn and as you grow, I don’t want this time to end.
Dr. Seuss said it perfectly, “Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!”
How blessed I am to be able to think upon, remember and cherish each day of your life.
Happy 15th Birthday Micah Man! Your dad, your brothers, and I love you very much and just like always, we don’t want this time to end….
